Solar Hydrogel Panels Research Platform

Overview

Solar Hydrogel Panels Research Platform is a premium engineering application for simulating, visualizing, and controlling atmospheric water harvesting systems. The app features a skeuomorphic interface inspired by scientific instruments and control panels, providing an immersive and tactile user experience for research, prototyping, and demonstration purposes.

Features

  • Animated Gauges & Status Panels: Real-time metrics for water production, solar intensity, humidity, reservoir levels, and system status.
  • System Architecture Visualization: Interactive schematic of the seven-layer panel system, including hydrogel, solar, vapor, condensation, collection, storage, and UV modules.
  • Simulation Cycles: Night Absorption and Day Release phases with animated molecular and vapor flow, saturation gauges, and control buttons.
  • Materials Engineering: Expandable cards for hydrogels, MOFs, and thermal materials, with detailed properties and performance data.
  • Performance Dashboard: Analog-style gauges and digital readouts for water output, energy input, efficiency, and carbon reduction.
  • Applications Gallery: Architectural renders and specifications for residential, agricultural, desert, emergency, and sustainable infrastructure use cases.
  • Prototype Design: CAD-style blueprint and cross-section diagrams with interactive elements.
  • Implementation Roadmap: Mechanical timeline with key phases, milestones, and deliverables.

Technology Stack

  • React Native / Expo for cross-platform mobile development
  • TypeScript for type safety
  • Tailwind CSS (NativeWind) for custom skeuomorphic styling
  • Drizzle ORM for database management
  • TRPC for API communication
  • Custom Components: AnimatedGauge, SkeuomorphicPanel, MaterialCard, ModuleCard, ArchitecturalRender, and more
